APLX stopped working on Mac

APLX, which I still use on my Mac (Version 10.13.3), just suddenly stopped working. Clicking on the icon just results in the message "APLX quit unexpectedly". This is bad for me, as there are a few workspaces I did not yet convert to Dyalog. Any suggestions of what to do?

Hi there

As ever, with the caveat that I'm not an APLX expert, here are some suggestions based on similar problems with Dyalog.

If it's just stopped working, then it might be that something that is automatically loaded on startup is corrupt:
- Do you have a CONTINUE workspace ? If so delete or rename it.
- Do you have a session which is being automatically loaded .. that might be corrupt
- Can you try with a new login on the same mac ? If that works then it would suggest that it's a file in your account or a configuration setting that's at fault.

It might be worth posting something on http://microapl.com/APL/aplx_forum.html.
It might be worth reinstalling APLX .. you can download it from https://www.dyalog.com/aplx.htm.

If these don't help, drop support@dyalog.com a note .. if you've not got too many workspaces, we may be able to do the basic exports/imports for you ..

Please be aware that APLX will not run on macOS Catalina (10.15) or later - APLX is a 32-bit application, and Catalina does not support 32-bit applications.
