BMED workspace

What has happened to the BMED workspace?

I can't find it anywhere in my installation, but I've only got APL going back to version 12.1. See the Interface Guide (one of the core product manuals) p.79, where this workspace is referred to.

Hi Jane,

We removed it from our distributed workspaces when 12.0 was released in 2008.

There is a thread in the Installation board that also requests the BMED workspace.

If you scroll down a bit, you can find the workspace there attached to Dan's reply.

Please note that the BMED workspace only makes 16 colour bitmaps. I would recommend using Windows' Paint (mspaint.exe) instead...

Vince

I was thinking of using it for producing text labels for buttons, so I would only need black on a transparent background. However, there are other, better, ways of doing that.

But I suppose the main point here is to ask for reference to it to be removed from the interface guide.

Hi Jane,

You're right--we will remove the references to this workspace from our v14.0 documentation.

Vince
