SALT loading a dyapp

Postby crishog on Fri Dec 29, 2017 3:24 pm

I have a dyapp which is used to build a workspace from scratch, nothing is stored in the ws at all.

I need to have different versions of one of the .dyalog scripts named in the dyapp, so I created DRC27.dyalog and DRC30.dyalog and named one or the other in the dyapp file

But SALT strips off all characters from the first numeric - it always loads DRC.dyalog regardless of which one is named in the .dyapp file, even if I have, say, DRC30A, it still loads DRC

Is this deliberate? It's easy enough to use an alphabetic name instead, but the version umber as part of the name would have been "nice"

Hi Chris,

Could you send an example of your .dyapp and .dyalog files to support please?

I have tried to reproduce what you report but I was not able to.

You can't reproduce it because I'm an idiot.

The idea was to have 3 .dyalog files & either build using different .dyapp files &be able to select from the differently named versions in the main startup function.

So it would hep if the :Namespace statement wasn't the same for each file...

In other words Salt was doing exactly what I told it to do.

Mea Culpa.

I only realized after Andy sent me some dyapps & dyalogs to try (of course they worked) & I then looked into the ones I was using - which I should have done earlier without being prodded into doing so.
